After 23 years of a squeaky floor in my kitchen, and having previously had My Sweet Homes do work for me, I asked Brunon to fix the floor. There were some delays and issues along the way that were resolved by Brunon and I now have a solid, stable, non-moving, non-squeaky floor. After the work done earlier in the year, I got My Sweet Homes back to redecorate the rest of my flat - it looked so shabby compared to the work done in the living room. I now have a beautifully decorated flat and was once again impressed by the work ethics of the MSH crew. They arrived when they said, hoovered up every night before they left and did a fantastic job with attention to detail and my needs in mind. In addition to the redecoration, Alex and Brunon removed an old three-door wardrobe and build me a flat packed (I ordered from Amazon) corner wardrobe which takes up much less space but is just as roomy. My bedroom is transformed. Would heartily recommend this company.

I had Sweet Homes come to replace my bathroom floor, replace a radiator and move a fixed cabinet and do some minor paint touch-ups. This was the second time Brunon and his team have done work on my property. They've done a good job again and I'm happy with the quality of the work, the floor looks great. The job ended up being a bit bigger than anticipated due to an unseen leak and some quite bad damage behind the back of the toilet and shower, but they were able to fix up all of this without any additional stress for me, and communicated clearly with me what was going on. Brunon and his team have consistently shown up and done what they've said they'll do, when they've said they'll do it, and they've always kept me in the know if there are any minor changes of plan. This time the work was carried out by Robert and Alex who were both easy to have around and just got on with things. Brunon does a clear and thorough written quotation before the work which I appreciate so you know exactly what is expected and what is being priced for.

We have used Brunon and the team a number of times now and always recieve a great service from the full team. We had a number of jobs on this occassion including; fixing and replastering large sections of a bedroom, repainting the same room, installing two sets of shelves to maximise storage space in cupboards, remove a large set of gates in a fence and return to a solid fence, replace panels in pine doors and re-colour to match original door, change door handles throughout the house and build an airing cupboard. The airing cupboard required fitting a new radiator and moving a plug which was no issue the the team. Brunon took our request on board and provided drawings of the airing cupboard before starting. Delighted with all the work that was completed.

We had an old garage at the bottom of our garden that no amount of ongoing repair was going to help. I contacted a number of trusted trader recommendations. All were very good at responding and coming up to discuss the project. Brunon stood out however. He listened to what we were looking for. He put forward suggestions. He gave us space and time to consider the options. He also came up with a price that was on par with other quotes. At this point you of course are still taking a chance. However the previous reviews and our ongoing discussions gave us confidence that we should go ahead. At the outset, Brunon supplied the details of the contract and outlined how the project would unfold. Brunon's team started on the date promised. The guys that were on site were excellent. The quality of the work was very good and they were more than happy to discuss any aspects. More importantly for us, Brunon made himself available virtually daily. He was always contactable. Nothing was a major issue. You felt confident that if anything came up himself and the team had your back. As the work progressed, Anna provided ongoing updates on the account management side of things. These were always accurate. Payments were made as the work progressed. Did everything go smoothly. No. we had some damage on a delivery. Brunon and the team could have stepped away and indicated the issue lay elsewhere but they didn't. They owned the problem and sorted it. This was replicated with some other minor things. That sold us in having Sweet Homes carry out additional work for us that included new paths and fencing. All to our satisfaction. So on the space that was our garage we have a room overlooking our patio and a smaller integral garage. With new paths, paving and fencing. We are both delighted with the finished result and would have no hesitation in recommending Sweet Homes for any future projects you might be envisaging.

Replacing large timber gate: replacing timber soffits in porch with PVC soffit panels; removing window and replacing with double glazed PVC tilt and turn window: strip render off garden wall and replace; fixing existing coping stoners. It was pleasing that at an early stage, Brunon of Sweet Homes, arranged to call to see the works required. He has an easy manner and was happy to discuss the different options and listen to my thoughts on them. He produced a detailed quotation for the works and costs. He also provided a useful outline of timeframes including items which had to be manufactured. He kept in touch by phone or email with updates on progress with manufacturing. He had members of his team on site and working within the time he had said. He introduced each person individually and agreed start times for them. They were always punctual and got on with the tasks. They were easy to get on with and meticulous in respecting our property. Brunon, as well as getting involved at times, maintained oversight of the works in progress. One of the many pleasant aspects of the overall project was the attention he paid to keeping us informed about what was happening and was planned. Brunon and his team came in to work on a job that had been half done by a cowboy. There was a lot of undoing and redoing of various jobs, but nothing was too much of an issue. Finishing off kitchen installation, building a built-in cupboard, flooring, plastering, window surrounds, re-fitting a bath and much more. Alex did a large part of the work and was a testament to the company - as were all the other guys. Always on time, trustworthy, worked solidly all day and were even really good with our young daughter. Brunon was great with communicating as there were many challenges uncovered along the way, and he was also great in advising on options, knowing the building regs in intimate detail - invaluable! I would not hesitate in getting them back in for any small or large job and would highly recommend.

Brunon and team did not start the work on the day they said they would. They came in early morning and said they would return and did not. They then offered to come in at 7am the next day to get ahead, but were late in arriving and didn’t ever start the work. They were uncommunicative throughout and I spoke with the main contractor - Brunon, his team would then say something different and then his other staff would call and give other instruction. My quote changed 4 times, finally increasing by 50% in total, even though Brunon and another team member had been out to assess what was needed ahead of time. They also arrived twice without the required materials. Brunon himself was rude, not transparent and difficult to work with, unable to tell me when his team would arrive when they were delayed and then after his men spent 2 hours in my house pulling up carpets, they walked off the job leaving carpets torn up and additional materials in my house. I phoned him to ask where they had gone and his assistant didn’t know. They finally got back to me to say they have gone to another job. I wouldn’t work with Brunon again, it was distressing, confusing and my house has been left in a worse state than when they arrived. I’ve also lost two days of work and found it difficult to understand the true cost as the materials required kept changing even although the original work did not.

Lathe and plaster ceiling brought down and a new ceiling installed, whilst preserving the original cornicing and centre rose. Brunon and his team completed the work to what I thought was a very high standard. I had been worried about the amount of dust that would be generated by bringing the old plaster down but amazingly very little escaped into the adjacent hall. They used a large extractor fan to take the dust out of my window and also used a plastic seal on the door and together these obviously worked really well. Brunon kept me up to date with detailed daily emails describing the teams progress. And on the first day when he was caught in heavy traffic caused by the trains being cancelled following a storm he phoned twice to give me updates on his eta. I also had a condemned gas fire in my lounge and the team removed this for me, plastered the resulting hole and installed an air vent. All for no extra charge. All in all I was very impressed with the professionalism and quality of workmanship of Brunon and his team and would not hesitate to use him again in the future.

Another tradesman installed a new boiler for us and damaged a pipe which caused a leak from our flat through our floor into the flat below. We asked Brunon to come out and inspect any damage that had happened to our place. He arrived right on time, looked around the problem area and concluded that we wouldn't need any repairs done - because of the type of flooring and the style of house he saw that all leaked water would have drained through our floor and into the downstairs flat. So everything would have drained away and not caused any damage that would need fixing. Good news! I expected that he would charge us the quoted fee for the first hour of his call-out which was £90. I asked him how I should pay him and he said that he didn't feel that we owed him anything because he hadn't done anything (other than giving us very helpful professional advice), so we didn't need to pay him anything. He was really fair to us, very helpful, and very likeable. He'll certainly be the first guy I contact for any further work we need done in our house in the future.

Replacement of old timber deck with new composite deck. This included the removal of the old structure & construction of a new one as well as a new timber balustrade. Brunon and his team were on time every day. The site was always left tidy overnight and Brunon was always happy to chat and explain what they were doing. As well as the team on site the team in the office were also very helpful at keeping us updated with start dates, discussing material choices and dealing with payment. We chose Brunon to carry out our building work through Trusted Trader and were not disappointed. The project consisted of digging up existing concrete patio and laying new slabs. They crushed the old concrete and used as part of the base for the new patio. Renewing roughcasting on garden walls, creating step at back door and ledge at patio doors. Relaying uneven slabs around the house. Removal of existing path and steps at the front of the house and creating new steps and path. They also carried out various maintenance building works. Brunon and Conrad carried out the majority of the building work supported by Alex. They were extremely hard working and kept us informed of progress and consulted us if any adjustments needed to be made. They left the site tidy at the end of each day. We have a 2 bedroom flat in Edinburgh, that after being let for 10 years, required a lot of work. On top of that - we had a considerable issue with 'smokers drift' - tobacco smoke drifting through the old floorboards and other gaps around piping etc. from the flat below that made the flat unsuitable for our young son to stay in. We had a redundant gas fire that needed to be removed - along with the fireplace. A new kitchen needed to be fitted. This was a huge job. Brunon and his team ripped back everything - the floorboards were removed throughout the entire flat, new floorboards down along with a membrane to stop the smoke, all gaps sealed where possible, and new flooring laid throughout. The plaster in the living room was coming away from the walls - so the that was made sound and re-plastered along with the ceiling. Old kitchen was pulled out and a new one fitted. New radiators and heating pipes fitted throughout. And finally the flat was decorated throughout. It's been done to a really high standard and I'm delighted with the work - Brunon ensured we were satisfied with what had been done and checked in several times after the work finished to make sure there were no outstanding 'niggles'. Brunon and his team were great to work with - this was a huge job and quite stressful for us, particularly as we weren't in Edinburgh to oversee the work. Brunon kept infrequent contact - updating us with photos and letting us know what he needed from us to keep on track. One of the major benefits we found in working with Brunon was Anna. I've had the experience in the past where I've left endless messages with tradies and no one gets back to you, or does days later (usually when you're in a meeting at work). Having the ability to chat to someone on the phone to find out information when it suits you while knowing you aren't disturbing the work was great. Anna really helped to reassure us that everything we were concerned about would be taken care of, and in a timely manner. This was a great benefit of using this team. I'd highly recommend this trader and Brunon will be the first person we contact if we need any further work in the future.

We have a 1960's flat that was looking very tired. Brunon and the team went through the whole flat (except for the kitchen and bathroom which we had done last year) and massively upgraded the feel of the place. It now looks and feels so much better. The specific things they did were; * Replace all of the laminate flooring with LVT vinyl tiles. They made this flow through the flat so that there are no joins in the doorways and it looks fantastic. *Replace all of the skirting boards * Replace all of the internal doors with solid core oak doors including replacing the door surround *Installed a pocket door for the kitchen which has given us back loads of space in the kitchen * Move a radiator and conceal other heating pipework in the walls * Move electrical sockets * Tidy up the walls- remove wall paper; fill in socket blanks from when the flat was rewired years ago, sink some cables into the wall that had been in surface trunking, plasterboard over some parts to provide a smooth finish * Repaint throughout - walls and ceilings and all woodwork * Wallpapered a single wall in each room * Hung a curtain rail and coat hooks etc There were challenges due to Covid which impacted the time taken versus the expected time (workers got pinged on the app etc) and materials are a nightmare for everyone at the moment. However Brunon kept me informed and we worked together to get through it.

We added a new seating area to our back garden which immediately highlighted a drainage issue. Contacted Brunon who came round, analysed the probable cause and outlined a solution in some detail. The quote for the job seemed fair and we agreed to have the work carried out over the agreed 2 days. Turned up promptly with a colleague at the appointed hour. They uplifted the existing chippings, laid 2 tons of hardcore and compacted it before replacing the weed suppressant membrane and relaying the slate. To combat the drainage issue they installed a 5 metre French drain leading away from the area. They worked hard, safely and very tidily. This was a messy job and they left the site as clean as it was before they started. We were kept informed of progress at each stage. This is the second job Brunon has undertaken for us, the first was a small joinery task. We have no hesitation in recommending him and will use him again when required.

I had recently moved into a property and needed a few jobs done that I could not do myself and needed someone who was skilled and competent to complete them to a good standard and in a timely manner, Brunon achieved all of this in 7 hours work. The jobs included securing an over the bath glass concertina shower screen into a tiled wall, purchasing and replacing bathroom sink taps, securing a hand towel holder into a tiled wall, assembled and secured an Ikea bathroom cabinet into a tiled wall, disconnecting a plug and aerial point, filling it in and plastering over it and plastering over where a TV wall mount had been removed. We needed unexpected remedial joinery work done (cracked stair riser) at very short notice to avoid us cancelling other trades lined up. We were given Brunon's details and got in touch. Despite being very busy on a much larger job, he agreed to visit to assess the requirement. During the visit he understood our urgency and was very accommodating. As it turned out his major work overran on the Friday and he couldn't make the arranged time. Instead he agreed to come early on the Saturday (which caused us no problem at all) and turned up at the appointed time. He worked tidily to complete the work and carried out a short survey of the remaining stairs and risers before leaving. We felt the price charged was a fair reflection of the work carried out and the inconvenience Brunon put himself to on our behalf. No hesitation in recommending him and if/when needed we have no concerns about using him again.

I had Sweet Homes in to take care of a few repairs and reno upgrades in my tenement flat(some plasterboard damage in bedrooms, and new bathroom flooring done), and they were brilliant from start to finish. Brunon explained everything clearly, offered smart suggestions, and kept me updated throughout. The time frame was very important to me as we had family coming in and staying for partr of the fringe, So the team turned up on time, worked efficiently, and left the place spotless every day. The lads on the job we're so easy to get on with. The quality of the work is excellent as I could tell they really cared about the details. Any small hiccups were dealt with straight away (which there were only a few with access to getting materials inside), and nothing was too much trouble. I’m genuinely delighted with the results and will definitely use them again. On top of it all they all got along with my dog too 😂 which was important to me...Highly recommended!

Brunon and team did not start the work on the day they said they would. They came in early morning and said they would return and did not. They then offered to come in at 7am the next day to get ahead, but were late in arriving and didn’t ever start the work. They were uncommunicative throughout and I spoke with the main contractor - Brunon, his team would then say something different and then his other staff would call and give other instruction. My quote changed 4 times, finally increasing by 50% in total, even though Brunon and another team member had been out to assess what was needed ahead of time. They also arrived twice without the required materials. Brunon himself was rude, not transparent and difficult to work with, unable to tell me when his team would arrive when they were delayed and then after his men spent 2 hours in my house pulling up carpets, they walked off the job leaving carpets torn up and additional materials in my house. I phoned him to ask where they had gone and his assistant didn’t know. They finally got back to me to say they have gone to another job. I wouldn’t work with Brunon again, it was distressing, confusing and my house has been left in a worse state than when they arrived. I’ve also lost two days of work and found it difficult to understand the true cost as the materials required kept changing even although the original work did not.

Sweet Homes did a great job with my living room. The carpet was replaced with click vinyl as well as the walls and ceiling being replastered and painted. I was a bit nervous at first as this was my first big home renovation however Brunon and the team were all so nice and helpful.
