Project care

Your project information pack

A project runs more calmly when the important decisions do not live in somebody's memory. The pack is the written thread from accepted scope to handover.

Before the start

The starting documents depend on the scale of the work. They normally identify the accepted quotation, written scope, exclusions, assumptions, payment stages, current programme and any design or permission information that forms part of the agreed job.

Decisions and selections

Where the project involves finishes, fittings, layouts or workshop joinery, the relevant decisions are recorded before the affected work is released. Samples, visuals or drawings are included where they form part of the agreed approval process.

Changes during the work

A written change record keeps the original scope separate from later decisions and unexpected findings. It states what changed, why, the agreed response and the effect on cost or programme.

Handover information

The final set varies by project. It may include the snag record, relevant certificates, product or care information, the final variation record and the applicable workmanship-warranty terms. We identify what belongs to the project rather than promising documents that the scope does not create.
