The quotation covers the written scope
The agreed price covers the work and assumptions set out in the written quotation. It is not an unlimited promise about concealed conditions or work the client later decides to add. Clear inclusions, exclusions and assumptions make that boundary visible before work starts.
The affected work pauses
If an unexpected condition changes the agreed scope, the affected part of the job pauses. We show you what has been found, explain the practical options and identify any specialist advice that is needed. Unaffected work may continue where it is safe and sensible to do so.
Cost and programme effects go into writing
A change note records the finding, the chosen response, the price effect and any effect on the programme. Additional work does not proceed until that change has been approved through the agreed project process.
Client-requested changes use the same route
A change of layout, finish or specification can affect more than the item being changed. We record the effect before the affected work moves forward so the decision is made with the cost, lead time and knock-on work visible.
